Our Commitment

Classroom Watch supports school-defined observation workflows. Schools control the modes they enable, the roles that can access records, and how the service is used within their own policies and applicable law.

Data Collection
  • Schools may record observation notes, lesson context, goals, reports, and evidence such as photos, video, audio, or documents, including an optional post-observation feedback conversation.
  • We collect staff account, school affiliation, and role information needed to provide access to the service.
  • Schools are responsible for deciding what personal data is appropriate to record and for obtaining any required notices or permissions.
  • The current service does not load optional advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
Data Security
  • We use access controls and private file storage for sensitive observation evidence and feedback-meeting recordings.
  • The application enforces school-scoped access rules so users cannot access another school's records.
  • Sensitive billing identifiers and school domain settings have additional field-level access controls.
  • No certification, audit, or compliance status is claimed here unless it is separately confirmed in writing.
Access Control
  • Access is determined by the school's assigned roles and the observation workflow.
  • Teachers can access their own permitted observations and reports; authorised observers and school leaders may access records within their role scope.
  • School administrators manage school roles, staff access, and enabled observation modes.
  • Observation, evidence, and report changes are subject to role checks and controlled workflow states.
Teacher Rights
  • Schools determine their own data-controller responsibilities and observation policies.
  • Staff may delete their Classroom Watch sign-in account from Settings. School-controlled observation or employment records may still be retained where the school has an appropriate legal, contractual, safeguarding, or employment reason.
  • Staff may raise access, correction, export, or deletion requests for school-controlled records with their school administrator or our privacy contact.
  • The product supports developmental, peer, walkthrough, and school-authorised evaluative workflows; schools are responsible for enabling and governing those workflows lawfully.
  • AI-generated content is advisory and must not be used as the sole basis for an employment decision.
Data Location
  • Service data is processed through the infrastructure used to provide Classroom Watch.
  • If your school has data-residency or contractual requirements, contact us before uploading personal data.
  • We do not sell school observation data or use it for advertising.
  • Schools should assess their own legal and policy obligations before using the service.
AI Processing
  • AI analysis is run only when an authorised user requests a report or evidence analysis.
  • Inputs are minimised before analysis: the application redacts common email and phone-number patterns and limits the amount of submitted text.
  • The application instructs AI features to treat evidence as untrusted data, avoid following embedded instructions, and avoid identifying students.
  • An observer can optionally record or upload a post-observation feedback meeting only after confirming that all participants have agreed. The private audio is made available through a short-lived link to Base44’s AI service to produce a draft transcript, supportive summary, and action points.
  • The meeting record remains a draft for the observer until they choose to share it with the teacher; AI outputs should be reviewed by an authorised professional before use.
